Using Price Filter Slider On A Price Range

Лучший Ответ Kess , 18 December 2013 - 12:28

I've just made a test example and everything works as you need. It's very easy - just use a repeatable text element for the salary. First input lower end,  then the upper end. Just don't accidentally input something except numbers in it. You can see how it works on my test website.

I'd like to use the slider filter for a range rather than a fixed price.

I believe the filter takes it's upper end and lower end range from product prices in the catalog. Then the user can slide upper and lower figures to narrow a range.

I'm trying to use JBZoo to create a job app and the user will want to search for jobs within a salary range.

Each job entered into the directory will have 2 salary figures - the lower and upper figures comprising the salary range.

Examples:

Job 1 Lower End: £18,000  Upper End: £23,000

Job 2 Lower End: £21,000 Upper End: £25,000

Job 3 Lower End: £24,000 Upper End: £30,000

There is no fixed figure in these salaries.

Using the slider if someone has the lower end at £20,000 and the upper end at £28,000 all 3 jobs should show up.

If their lower end is £25,000 and the upper £30,00 jobs 2 & 3 show

If their lower end is £12,000 and their upper £22,000 jobs 1 & 2 show

etc. etc.

Is this possible with the slider or will they have to search upper and lower fields independently?

Thanks.

Thanks Kess that's exactly what I'm looking for. The posting will be automated from another site - and I can specify what content is allowed so there's no room for human error.  (provided i get the auto post working)
