Hi

I am facing problem with the category structure and URL

for ex..for 2 categories abc and xyz and product pqr in xyz then it is opening both via

example.com/abc/pqr

example.com/xyz/pqr

Similar is with the product in abc. Both the links give canonical URL

I haven't made any changes to router

I try to explain you how works URL builder in Zoo.

And I want to note that JBZoo uses same functions for building url as classical Zoo.

 

Did you try disable ZooSeo plugin ?

 

Usually, Zoo builds url for category as

(for custom menu item)

/<menu item alias>/
/<menu item alias>/category/<zoo subcategory>
/<menu item alias>/item/<zoo item>
 
if ZooSeo was enabled
/<menu item alias>/
/<menu item alias>/<subcategory>
/<menu item alias>/<zoo item>

 

 

Maybe you have for each category own item menu, so

/<menu item alias>/<sub item menu alias 1>/
/<menu item alias>/<sub item menu alias 2>/
...

I mean, that in this case aliases from zoo doesn't use, because all url builds by Joomla API only.

 

As result, I recomend you to use second way (if categories are not very much).

I got it. It was mistake. ZooSeo has no affect over it. It is because of both having same alias.

I didn't get which is better method to use. Also i wud have lot of categories

I dont have menu for subcategories but i have menu for primary category as if i dont have it the URL structure becomes like example.co/component/zoo/itemname

Also even when i have changed the alias of the menu(which is mobiles) and zoo category (which is mobile). Still even when i replace the mobiles with something else it displays the page
