Try to use this Zoo hack.

It will change some SQL queries to MySQL for speedup your website.

 

Changelist

• administrator\components\com_zoo\tables\item.php
  • disable chiecking an alias to uniq before save.
  • disable Zoo search indexing.
  • disable checking publish up/down dates for all items.
  • disable checking user access to item.
• components\com_zoo\controllers\default.php
  • ​disable queries for counting items in each category.
• media\zoo\applications\jbuniversal\framework\events\jbevent.item.php
  • ​disable JBZoo search index (only in manual mode via Control Panel).
• media\zoo\applications\jbuniversal\framework\helpers\jbimport.php
  • disable chiecking an alias to uniq before import.
• media\zoo\applications\jbuniversal\framework\models\jbmodel.php
  • ​disable checking publish up/down dates for all items.

Main problem with performance is some code from Original Zoo component.

JBZoo uses Zoos API.

 

So, my patch will add some changes and fixes for speedup your website.

Trust me, this is the easiest way for you.

 

System Joomla's search is very simple and it haven't to do a lot of criteria as our JBZoo filter.

 

So your comparing Joomla's Search with JBZoo Filter is wrong.

 

Soon we will publish article which will explain all problems what could be able to happen with really huge websites as yours.
