I would like to know if JBZoo has an extention that adds a new type of element that can be used to link to a Joomla user,  similar to the "Zooauthor" element addin by raslab.

 

I've tried this element but it doesn't seem to be submitable so it isn't listed as an element to be added to the submission template.

 

I'm hoping JBZoo has a better solution.

No, JBZoo doesn't have this kind of element. All JBZoo elements are listed in the corresponding group:

 

 

 

Did you try to use "AuthorLink" element from Raslab?
