The new yootheme templates are all based on the UIKIT - I'm wondering if the JBZOO supports UIKIT elements and extensions that use it like this: http://www.zoomodspl...otheme-zoo.html

 

If not whether it will be implemented and if so when? And if so will both the 1.6 and 2.x versions utilise it or just 2.x?

Hey renee, .  We did an experimental themplate on UIKIT for JBZoo 2.0.2. 

 

The template was created as an experiment and has not been tested in combat conditions and is spread only as a reference. As well, no changes have been made in the item templates, considering it would take a long time and this release was delayed indefinitely.

 

You can download the link below patch. Extract it with the replacement of files in a folder

my_website\media\zoo\applications  

Or install the full version JBZoo 2.0.2 with new template Uikit

Hey Cheren thanks for the reply. Does this mean the UIKIT template wont work on 1.6 versions of JBZoo?

 

Am I right in thinking that the JBZoo catalog template is non-responsive without the UIKIT or have I misinterpreted something along the way?

You was right. For JBZoo 1.6 will not work this template

Right. To get a responsive layout template Catalog, you can connect files UIKIT and prescribe appropriate classes manually.
 
Version 1.6 is deprecated - development for her non-existent. All efforts are directed in 2.x

When you say development is deprecated for 1.6 are security releases still planned?  And presumably at some point 1.6 will become non-compatible with Joomla.

 

If I have several sites running 1.6 it will then be a case of buying individual licences (or multiples of 2) for those sites?

 

For me this isn't such an issue but I am thinking of a client who has asked me to prep multiple derivations of the same site under different url's.

New version 2.x is a full complitable version for JBZoo 1.6 and now we don't develop it.

Version 1.6 will be compatible with Joomla until Zoo compatible with 1.6.Now it must work correctly.

You can upgrade your website with special patches (recommended).

 

After realease 2.0 we add limit by domeins.

If you need additional domains, we can extend your account to new tariff plan "Profession" with limit 10 or "Premium" with 50 sites.

OK - so I can forecast costs for my client how long do you believe 1.6 will be compatible with ZOO ?

It depends from Yootheme and Zoo component.
I think, about 3-6 month.
