Hi,

 

When I create a new item, I get this first page with item type selection, after which comes the submission form. How can a category be defaulted to one item type so that you can go directly to submission form when you create a new item to remove the select item type step?

I think, there is no easy solution for your purposes without serious changes of the Zoo core.
