I just installed JB Zoo Pro today, before installing JB Zoo, Zoolingual was working perfectly with default Zoo apps, after the installation, I do no more see other language option in admin! Currently, I can see parameters only for default language (English) and other parameters for other language (French) is no more showing! Our website is done in two languages (English as default and French as second language). Now, even for default apps (not related to JB Apps), Zoolingual is not working in backend. Note that in frontend, I see can accessed translations that was done before installing JB Zoo.

Try to move Zoolingual pugin to the place before  JBZoo (events) plugin in the Joomla plugin manager.

Hi, sorry to open back this topic but I am currently facing another issue between JB Zoo and Zoolingual, as I mention previously, we were able to sort out the backend language parameter issues, however, now we are facing an issue in frontend.

 

As you will see from the uploaded screenshots, in the backend configuration, we have added the English title and also the French title of the app that we are creating using JB Zoo.

 

 

We have provided translation both for title, description, image etc. Now in frontend:

 

 

This is a screenshot of an app created with the default Zoo documentation app, as you will see, on the French page, everything is translated including main title, sub-title, description and image title are all translated, which mean that Zoolingual is working perfectly with default Zoo apps.

 

Now, about JB Zoo app:

 

 

We have added an image to represent the directory (app), for English, we have added 'Golfers Directory' as image title and for French, we have added 'Annuaire de Golfeurs' as image title, however, when we hover on the image, we do neither get the English or French title but we got the name of the app type which in this case is 'Golfers'. The image title is same for both languages, therefore, image is getting title of the JB Type but not the directory title provided in configuration.

 

Additionally, the title provided for this type in English version is 'Golf Players Directory' and for French version is 'Annuaire des Golfeurs', however, it is showing the English title on both English and French version, that is, the title field is not translated in JB Zoo whereas in Zoo default type it is translated!

 

Description, images, categories etc. all are translated but it is not possible to translate the title of article in H1, it remains 'Golf Players Directory' for both languages.

 

These are some current issues that we have noticed till now, can you please have a look at these issues and get back to us? If you need access to our website admin to find any issue, please let me know and I will send it to you either by email or private message (if available).

 

P.S. We are currently translating JB Zoo into French as well, should you wish to have a copy of the translated strings to add it to next JB Zoo release please let me know, also, after reviewing the available en-GB.com_jbzoo.ini, we noticed also that there are some English translation error, we are making correction simultaneously with the French translation, will be good to add such correction as well to next JB Zoo release.

On older versions of ZooLingual JBZoo worked. Probably they changed the internal API.
We will improve the compatibility in future JBZoo versions.

Can you give me a list of edits for the English localization?

Hi, well will the next release of JB Zoo be long because we need to launch our website by end of this week latest, it will not be that professional from our side to have some untranslated directory titles as for most of our directories (zoo types) we are going to use JB Zoo and this is the main reason that we purchase a subscription to JB Zoo Pro so that we can benefit of the available additional features!

 

About English localization:

 

I just speak to my translator, these are not errors but small stuffs, will get back to him and let you know.
